Abstract:
This paper first reviews the recent development in the legal framework of FDI in Vietnam and uses official statistics and survey data to evaluate the impact of BTA on the investment environment in Vietnam. Incontrast to the official statistics, the study finds a positive impact of BTA on the investment environment in Vietnam and suggests ways to improve the collection and treatment of official statistics.
