On the 1st July 2010 Assistant Professor Anh Tran Ngoc of Indiana University, one of DEPOCEN's partner institutions, held a successful lecture on Quantitative Economics & Impact Evaluation at the DEPOCEN office.

The participants are mainly those who received The Vietnam Young Leader Awards (VYLA) provided by Vietnam Ministry of Education & Training and Indiana University. Ngoc Anh’s talk was considered as a part in the Academic Preparation Program for the Master scholarship-winners at Indiana University. It was also an opportunity for DEPOCEN’s members to study intensively this kind of method. Through the talk, participants accessed a growing research type in the world – impact evaluation by quantitative research, including its principles, its main methods and how to apply it in research effectively.

At the end of the talk, all participants had an open discussion on quantitative research. Anh Tran Ngoc shared his valuable experience in general research as well as in quantitative research.

This helpful lecture surely will provide a new approach for participants to apply it into their research so that they can achieve an exact research result.
