Overview:
The course provides participants with an introduction to using Excel to import, export data, produce descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing,ANOVA and regression. You must cover basic statistical theory.
You will receive copies of the PowerPoint slides used in the presentations and suggested reading lists which can be provided by DEPOCEN.

Following an overview of the main features of this course and an introduction to essential terminology, you will proceed logically through the following:
Lecture 1: Introduction to MS Excel
Building a database
Import and export data into a sheet of Excel
Functions for basic statistics
Lecture 2: Descriptive Statistics
Data analysis tools
Using the descriptive statistics tool
Building confidence interval
Creating a Histogram
Generating random numbers
Sampling data
Lecture 3: Hypothesis Testing and ANOVA
Creating a Scatter Plot

Paired Sample T-tests

Lecture 4: Relations and Regression
